that you celebrate the people you love, whether it be through touch, conversation or visual. It’s important to say “you matter to me“ and so I create art with a purpose. Why, you ask?
Family is the most important thing to me, as it has been in my extended family for generations. I learned the importance of portraiture as a young teenager. I lost two of my three brothers and witnessed my parents struggle to obtain recent portraits of them. Because of this, I learned how valuable and significant portraits could be, and it inspired me to become a portrait artist.
My passion is to bring great joy to others through my art.
What is a Painted Portrait?
Your painted portrait is created from mixed media. Using traditional photographic portraiture with hand-applied painting artistry, your painting blends the elegance and beauty of fine art oil painting with photographic portraiture.
Each commission begins with a reference image and is transformed through a variety of mediums and tools, from camera and tablet to traditional artist brushes and paints, into a work of art.

How are Your Different from a Traditional Artist?
Hand rendered mixed media art (or hybrid painting) requires the same precision, skills, time, thought process, and patience as traditional painting, and yet allows the flexibility to experiment, eraser and start over, without risking the chance of the over smudging the canvas. This allows me to focus on the imaginative and creative parts of painting.
By following in the footsteps of the Old Masters and blending different techniques, your painted portrait will showcase the likeness of the subject, allowing us to guarantee your satisfaction.

I have had many pets before, but Kallie was special. She was a difficult, yet an exceptional dog. I think most anyone that met her saw her quirky personality and devotion was taken back by her. Kallie was trained to hear for me in the back country and get me up when I would fall...she made me get up every day after the Paradise fire (where I lost everything) and face the world...she gave me back a life I thought was gone. This painting means so much to me. It really means a lot to me. I am crying tears of joy. This painting allows me to honor the beautiful soul that spent eight years by my side. Thank you so much.

Our Petite line of head and shoulder paintings of a single subject start at $1295. Our Signature and Prestige lines are custom paintings for full length subject(s) and may include compositional elements. These oiled canvas masterpieces begin at $2400 and go up to larger than life-size. Together we'll determine the proper size to enjoy it everyday!
